About the role

The Devereux Arizona’s Residential Treatment Center (RTC) is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. Located in Scottsdale, the RTC offers a unique environment focusing on patient care and providing services to youth aged 7 to 17 dealing with emotional, behavioral, or substance abuse challenges.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct daily medical management for our adolescent population
• Review and follow up with medical providers regarding the effectiveness and/or possible side effects of medications administered
• Supervise safety issues and crisis intervention for the campus population
• Maintain infection control protocols and general medical management
• Communicate effectively with all departments involved in direct client care
• Train direct care personnel in the Medication Technician Certification Program at the Group Home Level

Requirements

• Current valid RN license to practice in Arizona with no restrictions
• Associate's Degree from an accredited school of nursing required, Bachelor's degree preferred
• Six (6) months nursing experience required
• Previous behavioral health experience with children/adolescents or pediatric nursing preferred

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, relationship management, and multitasking skills
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Valid Arizona Driver's License and pass DMV 36-month history check
• Pass Pre-employment Physical and Job Demand Assessment (if applicable)
• Pass Drug test within 24hrs of offer with negative results
• Current AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card with no restrictions (OR eligibility to obtain with no restrictions)

Pay and Schedule

• Pay Range: $38/hr - $41.80/hr
• Shift Differentials: $2/hr. 3:00pm - 11:00pm; $4/hr. 11:00pm-7:00am
• Variety of Full Time Schedules: 3x12 shifts
