Location: 1855 Medical Center Pkwy, STE G, Murfreesboro, TN 37129. This role requires associates to work onsite full-time, enabling consistent face-to-face collaboration and direct engagement. Candidates must be within a reasonable commuting distance from the posting location unless an accommodation is granted as required by law.
About the Role
A proud member of the Elevance Health family of companies, Paragon Healthcare brings over 20 years of experience in providing life-saving and life-giving infusible and injectable drug therapies through specialty pharmacies, infusion centers, and home settings. The PRN Registered Nurse will cover sick call-offs, PTO coverage, and higher census days as needed. Clinic hours are Tuesday–Friday, 8 AM–4 PM.
Responsibilities
- Performs duties within the Nurse’s scope of practice, facility policies/procedures, INS Standards of practice, and approved facility protocols.
- Administers ordered therapies according to prescriber order, facility protocols, INS standards, and company policy and procedures.
- Completes admission process as directed by Center Director.
- Performs physical assessment on each patient as warranted and for new consults as warranted by the patient diagnosis.
- Refers to the Nurse Practitioner on duty for complete physical assessment as needed.
- Documents all pertinent data in the patient’s medical record.
- Reports all significant changes or observations to the Center Director and follows up on any identified problems.
- Evaluates the patient’s response to therapy and documents findings in the medical record.
- Educates patients and/or family members regarding therapy plan.
- Ensures all medication orders are complete, appropriate, accurate, and up to date prior to treatment.
- Understands and adheres to all applicable state, local, and Federal laws/regulations, including maintaining patient confidentiality through HIPAA compliance.
Requirements
- Requires an ASN or ADN and a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience; or any combination of education and experience providing an equivalent background.
- Requires a current unrestricted RN license in the applicable state.
- Multi-state licensure is required if providing services in multiple states.
- Satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test and Hepatitis B vaccine or signed waiver.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience with IV administration.
- Experience with Port, PICC, and Peripheral Lines.
- Medication mixing experience.
- Titration experience.
- BSN degree.
- Multi-state license.
- Clerical and administrative RN experience.
