Registered Nurse (PRN) – Paragon Infusion Centers
About the Role
As a Registered Nurse (PRN) at Paragon Healthcare, a member of the Elevance Health family, you will be responsible for administering all ordered therapies within your scope of practice, following facility policies, INS standards, and approved protocols. This role requires working onsite at our Norwood, OH location, with a focus on in-person collaboration and direct patient engagement.
Responsibilities
- Perform duties within the Nurse’s scope of practice, facility policies/procedures, INS Standards, and approved protocols.
- Administer ordered therapies according to prescriber orders, facility protocols, INS standards, and company policies.
- Complete the admission process as directed by the Center Director.
- Perform physical assessments on patients as warranted, including new consults.
- Refer to the NP on duty for complete physical assessments as needed.
- Document all pertinent data in the patient’s medical record.
- Report significant changes or observations to the Center Director and follow up on identified problems.
- Evaluate patient responses to therapy and document findings.
- Educate patients and/or family members regarding therapy plans.
- Ensure all medication orders are complete, appropriate, accurate, and up to date before treatment.
- Adhere to state, local, and federal laws, including HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.
- Travel to worksites and other locations as necessary.
Requirements
- ASN or ADN with a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Current unrestricted RN license in Ohio; multi-state licensure required if providing services in multiple states.
- Satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test and Hepatitis B vaccine or signed waiver (for Paragon and Carelon Health business units).
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience with IV, port, PICC, and peripheral lines.
- Medication mixing experience.
- Titration experience preferred.
- Ability to travel to multiple locations for clinical coverage.
- BSN preferred.
Location and Schedule
Location: 4803 Montgomery Rd, Suite 100, Norwood, OH 45212
Shift: Days, 1-5 days per week as needed (clinic open Monday-Friday)
Onsite Requirement: Full-time onsite presence is required, with no hybrid/virtual work options unless an accommodation is granted by law.
