Registered Nurse (PRN) - Paragon Infusion Centers

About the role

This role is located at 601 Grassmere Park Drive, Suite 19, Nashville, TN 37211. It is a PRN (Per Request Not Scheduled) position requiring 1-5 days per week, with the clinic open Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Administers all ordered therapies within the Nurse's scope of practice, following facility protocols, INS standards, and company policy.
  • Completes admission processes as directed by the Center Director.
  • Performs physical assessments on patients as needed, referring to the NP for comprehensive assessments as necessary.
  • Documents all pertinent data in the patient's medical record and reports significant changes or observations to the Center Director.
  • Evaluates patient responses to therapy and documents these findings in the medical record.
  • Educates patients and/or family members about their therapy plans.
  • Ensures all medication orders are complete, appropriate, accurate, and up-to-date before treatment.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA laws and regulations.
  • May travel to worksites and other locations as necessary.

Requirements

  • Requires an ASN or ADN with a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A current unrestricted RN license in the applicable state is required.
  • Satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test is a requirement for this position.
  • For Paragon and Carelon Health business units, a Hepatitis B vaccine or signed waiver is required.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities And Experiences

  • 2+ years of experience with IV administration.
  • Port, PICC, and peripheral line experience.
  • Medication mixing experience.
  • Titration experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel to multiple locations for clinical coverage.
  • A BSN degree is preferred.
