The Registered Nurse at Oceans Behavioral Hospital Biloxi is a key member of the healthcare team, focusing on providing comprehensive psychiatric nursing care. This position involves leading and managing patient care activities, assessing patients, implementing interventions, and evaluating outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Identifies and manages patient risks, develops individualized care plans, and ensures patient safety.
• Administers medications safely, educates patients on their medications, and monitors for adverse reactions.
• Documents patient care accurately and promptly, ensuring continuity of care.
• Communicates with staff and patients to ensure effective care coordination.
• Assists in float assignments across various clinical services.

Requirements

• Current, active RN license in the state of employment.
• Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing.
• One year of inpatient hospital experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a high-stress environment, communicate effectively, and handle unpredictable patient behavior.
• Must successfully complete CPR certification and an Oceans-approved behavioral health de-escalation program.
