Are you a Registered Nurse looking to use your skills outside EMS? Do you want to pick up extra shifts in a clinic setting? Medcor is hiring a PRN (as-needed) Registered Nurse for an employer-based, occupational health clinic in Milbank, South Dakota. The clinic operates Monday-Friday from 10a-7p.

About the role

This position involves collaborative work with medical and operational leadership at Medcor, local medical providers, client staff, and key corporate contacts. Responsibilities include patient care, workers’ compensation case management, Return to Work (RTW) program facilitation, and treatment plan monitoring.

Responsibilities

Participate in daily operations at Medcor’s on-site clinic
Provide superior customer service to Medcor’s client and employees
Assess and treat workplace injuries and illnesses using Medcor’s Evidence Based Medicine protocols (MCPs)
Build and maintain internal team relationships
Support onsite employee health and wellness efforts
Conduct pre-employment and post-offer screenings
Document care using state-of-the-art EMR and other tools
Perform Physical Assessment Testing (PATs)
Manage case documentation, medical charting, and OSHA record-keeping

Requirements

Valid RN licensure for the position
Current CPR/BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
Strong computer and technology skills (e.g., cell phones, texting, fax machines, EMR software)
Ability to lift a 50lb emergency response bag
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Positive, outgoing personality
Passion for patient care and advocacy

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a worksite clinic environment
Relevant occupational health experience
Background in emergency medicine or critical care
