About the role
The Registered Nurse is accountable for the management of patient care during a designated timeframe. Responsibilities include coordination and evaluation of care, teaching and delegation of patient activities to other health care team members via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, and the environment.

Requirements
- Current Michigan Nursing License
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- BSN degree preferred, or written agreement to obtain BSN within five years
Qualifications
- Previous Pre-Op/PACU experience
- Critical Care experience strongly preferred
About the department
The Main OR PreOp/PACU at Trinity Oakland (Pontiac) is a 39-bay department (22 PreOp, 17 PACU) at Trinity Health Oakland Level 2 Trauma Center, with 15 operating rooms averaging 35 cases per day. The department provides care for both inpatients and outpatients across elective, urgent, and emergent service lines: Acute Care Surgery, Colorectal, General Surgery, Cardio-Thoracic, Orthopedics, Endocrinology, Neurosurgery, Urology, Gynecology, Oncology, and Vascular, as well as off-shift Endoscopy. Nursing staff is supported 24/7 by department-based Anesthesiologists. The department holds distinction as a Certified Joint Center of Excellence and a Robotic Center of Excellence.
