Registered Nurse - Postpartum - Night Shift

Role: Registered Nurse – Postpartum (Night Shift) Responsibilities Include Providing safe, compassionate nursing care across patient populations by developing, implementing, and evaluating individualized care plans.Collaborating with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.Assessing patient health data, communicating care plans to patients and families, and documenting interventions and communications.Personalizing patient and family education based on cultural background, learning styles, and needs; providing disease management and emergency care education.Supporting professional development of peers and students, sharing knowledge, and contributing to a positive clinical environment.Assisting technical staff with procedures such as injections, venipuncture, drug administration, and IV management.Participating in quality improvement activities and staying current with research and best practices in wound, ostomy, and skin care.Conducting wound/ostomy/skin care rounds if skilled, and monitoring treatment effectiveness.Complying with HIPAA regulations and assisting in patient transport when necessary. Qualifications & Skills Current Illinois RN license; BSN preferred.2+ years of postpartum or acute care nursing experience preferred.BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association required.Postpartum experience is a strong plus.
