Registered Nurse - Postpartum

About the role

The Bethesda North Postpartum Unit at TriHealth is seeking a registered nurse to join our dynamic team. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to provide holistic care to postpartum patients, newborns, and their families.

Responsibilities

• Apply the nursing process to provide direct and indirect care.
• Collaborate with physicians, lactation consultants, and other health care team members to ensure patient needs are met.
• Educate families, support early bonding, and promote safe, evidence-based care.
• Delegate appropriate aspects of care to team members under supervision while maintaining accountability for outcomes.
• Create a supportive, family-centered environment during a significant life transition.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing.
• New hires must obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Registered Nurse license.
• Preferred specialty certifications.

Qualifications

• Knowledge, judgment, and skills derived from biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences.
• Experience in acute care preferred.

• Effective communication and understanding of physician orders.
• Ability to delegate tasks appropriately.
• Collaborative working style with other healthcare professionals.
• Ability to maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.

Schedule

Full-time day shift, 7am - 7:30pm, with third or fourth weekend rotation and holiday rotation.
