Registered Nurse - Postpartum

About the role

This PRN nursing role is based in Milwaukee, WI, at a hospital's Family Birth Center. Deliver postpartum nursing care to mothers and newborns, ensuring safety, comfort, and positive outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor maternal and neonatal vital signs, promptly addressing any complications.
• Administer medications, perform screenings, and document care accurately.
• Educate families on newborn care, feeding, safe sleep, and postpartum recovery, collaborating with healthcare teams for personalized plans.
• Provide nursing care for gynecologic patients, managing acute conditions and post-surgical recovery.

Requirements

• Minimum requirements include an active RN license from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing or a multi-state license, BLS certification within 30 days of hire, and an accredited nursing diploma or equivalent.
