About the Role
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate postoperative patient care in accordance with hospital policies and standards.
Responsibilities
- Communicate findings and document in medical records
- Oversee care provided by ancillary staff
- Manage supplies and equipment
- Collaborate with physicians and interdepartmental personnel
- Maintain post-anesthesia skills to ensure safe, quality care
- Ensure adherence to organizational philosophy, policies, and procedures
- Provide culturally sensitive nursing care and effective pain management
- Report any signs of abuse or neglect
- Uphold safety and infection control policies to maintain a safe environment
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited nursing school
- Active RN licensure
- CPR and ACLS certifications
- Preferred: 2 years of hospital medical-surgical experience, with at least 1 year of post-anesthesia or critical care experience
