About the Role
Provide safe, compassionate, patient-centered care as a Per diem Registered Nurse (RN) on the Medical/Telemetry Unit in a hospital setting.
Responsibilities
- Assess and address patients' psychosocial, emotional, spiritual, and diversity needs.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, integrating direct and indirect care activities.
- Coordinate interdisciplinary care, creating treatment and discharge plans based on patient needs.
- Perform hourly rounds to enhance communication, safety, and anticipate patient needs.
- Collaborate with patients and families to meet educational, physical, psychological, and spiritual needs.
- Follow communication protocols like SBAR to ensure safe handoffs and transitions in care.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
- Current Nevada nursing license.
- Valid BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Minimum of one year full-time or three years part-time experience in an acute care environment.
