Registered Nurse - Per Diem Nights

About the role

This Emergency Department Registered Nurse role involves providing direct and indirect patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting. The nurse evaluates patient outcomes, conducts head-to-toe assessments across all age groups, manages pain through education and appropriate techniques, and utilizes triage protocols to prioritize care effectively.

The position combines clinical duties with managerial responsibilities, including staff hiring and communication with physicians and team members to monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to changes.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the emergency department
• Evaluate patient outcomes and conduct comprehensive assessments across all age groups
• Manage pain through education and appropriate clinical techniques
• Utilize triage protocols to prioritize care effectively
• Communicate with physicians and team members to monitor and respond to changes in patient conditions
• Participate in staff hiring and managerial duties

Requirements

• Valid RN license
• At least 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience
• Certifications: BCLS (required), ACLS and PALS (required within six months of hire)
• Optional certifications: ENPC, TNCC
