About the Role
Provide high-quality nursing care in a cardiac renal unit during night shifts. This position involves conducting patient assessments, coordinating care plans, and ensuring effective communication and education tailored to patient and family needs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments and gather health data involving patients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Coordinate patient care plans to ensure interventions are safe, timely, and appropriate.
- Communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and in writing with patients and team members.
- Individualize patient and family education based on thorough assessments to meet specific learning needs.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to evaluate nursing practice effectiveness.
- Maintain current knowledge of nursing standards, laws, and regulations.
Requirements
- Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited nursing program.
- Current Illinois nursing license.
- CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
