Registered Nurse - Peds PICU - Days

Role Overview Provides specialized nursing care in a 16-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit within a family-centered environment. The position requires delivering compassionate, high-quality care to pediatric patients, ensuring safety and comfort. Key Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with healthcare teams.Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and perform procedures according to protocols.Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to support family-centered care.Adhere to safety standards and maintain documentation accuracy. Qualifications & Skills Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license.Associate Degree in Nursing or higher; if an Associate Degree holder, must obtain a Bachelor’s Degree within five years.Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within three months of hire.Preferred: 2 years of Pediatric PICU RN experience. Additional Attributes Strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and compassionate communication.Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.Commitment to professional growth and teamwork.
