Coordinates patient flow and throughput in the emergency department, collaborating with staff, leadership, and ancillary departments to ensure efficient care delivery. Responsibilities

• Monitors patient volumes and coordinates placement based on acuity levels.
• Communicates patient flow information to relevant personnel and leadership.
• Assists in bed management and addresses delays by collaborating with ancillary staff and transportation services.
• Utilizes tele-tracking to identify available beds and facilitates patient transfers.
• Ensures timely discharge processes and room cleaning, providing comprehensive handovers to incoming coordinators.
• Coordinates with leadership to remove barriers, expedite patient care, and optimize resource allocation.
• Addresses clinical delays, communicates updates, and supports process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a nursing specialty training program; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.

Schedule

Typical shifts are overnight, with weekend and holiday requirements.
