Registered Nurse - PACU/Recovery - Days

About the role

Provide direct nursing care to anesthetized patients in the post-operative or post-procedural period within the Surgical Services/PACU/Recovery department.

Responsibilities

• Follow aseptic sterile techniques per AORN/ASPAN standards
• Evaluate patient responses to treatments
• Manage pain
• Anticipate case-specific needs based on procedures and pathophysiology

Qualifications

• Current licensure as an RN from the Alabama Board of Nursing
• BLS certification within one month of hire
• Advanced Life Support certification within six months of hire
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Ideal qualifications

• Strong clinical skills
• Knowledge of perioperative standards
• Ability to respond effectively in high-pressure situations
