Registered Nurse - PACU - Days/Evenings

Full-time Registered Nurse position in Chicago with 10-hour shifts: 9a–7p, 10a–8p, 11a–9p, or 1p–11pm, including call requirements.

• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate the delivery of nursing care to patients and their families.
• Maintains competency reflective of current standards of practice.
• Interacts and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues.
• Integrates ethical provisions in all areas of nursing practice.
• Integrates evidence-based practice and research findings into nursing practice.
• Recognizes and adjusts to situations that vary from the norm; promotes safety measures to prevent patient and staff injuries.
• Guides and supervises staff in the provision of patient care.
• Enhances own professional growth and development.
• Maintains a safe therapeutic working environment and recognizes the need for action in emergency situations.
• Completes documentation thoroughly and in a timely manner.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

What You Will Need

• Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Certification/License:
  • IL RN License
  • CPR BLS through American Heart Association
  • ACLS through American Heart Association
  • PALS through American Heart Association within 3 months of start
• Experience:
  • Prefer at least one year of experience as a staff nurse.
  • Demonstrates mastery of nursing skills.
  • Communicates effectively; if experienced RN, is able to guide and supervise nursing personnel.
• Required: Reliable transportation for floating.

Pay

Hourly pay range: $36.00 – $55.80. The rate offered is determined by a candidate’s expertise, years of experience, and other factors.
