Role Overview: The Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking, leadership, and scientific judgment in patient care, ensuring adherence to nursing standards, policies, and the NH Nurse Practice Act. Key Responsibilities: Conducts comprehensive patient assessments, plans and implements appropriate care, monitors patients receiving conscious sedation, performs circulating and scrub duties during surgical procedures, utilizes equipment effectively, and maintains accurate peri-operative documentation. Provides communication to patients’ families, exhibits self-direction, and supports colleagues across surgical units. Maintains respectful and collegial behavior, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment. Qualifications & Skills: Requires RN licensure in NH or a compact state, Associate Degree in Nursing, and 1-3 years of experience, preferably in critical care (ED, ICU). Certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and PALS must be obtained within specified timeframes. Prior surgical or critical care experience is preferred.
