About the role
The Surgical Nurse leads the operating room environment by managing scrub and circulating functions to ensure a sterile, safe, and efficient surgical experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with critical tasks such as wound exposure and suturing to achieve precise clinical outcomes.
- Monitor patient safety continuously, communicating effectively throughout the surgical process.
- Prepare the operating suite and instrumentation to ensure clinical readiness.
- Document the surgical procedure accurately, maintaining high standards for patient records.
- Lead surgical procedures, advocate for patient safety, collaborate with surgical team, ensure readiness of equipment, and maintain detailed documentation.
Qualifications & Skills
- Registered Nurse credential from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing.
- Certification in Advanced Life Support and BLS Provider.
- Diploma from an accredited nursing school or equivalent licensure.
