About the Role
This position involves delivering professional nursing care in the operative setting for patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform scrub functions, handling instruments and supplies.
- Monitor and communicate patient conditions.
- Manage overall nursing care before, during, and after procedures.
- Assist surgeons with tasks such as hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure, and patient positioning.
- Prepare operating rooms and surgical equipment.
Requirements
- Valid BLS certification obtained within 30 days of hire.
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credential from the Alabama Board of Nursing.
- Diploma from an accredited nursing program.
- Professional licensure as a Registered Nurse.
