Registered Nurse - Operating Room (Days)

Position Overview Provides professional nursing care in the operative setting for patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures.Performs scrub functions, handling instruments and supplies during procedures.Conducts circulating duties, monitoring and communicating patient conditions, managing overall pre-, intra-, and post-operative care.Assists surgeons with tasks such as hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure, and patient positioning.Prepares operating rooms, instruments, and equipment for surgical use. Qualifications Licensed Registered Nurse credential from the Alabama Board of Nursing.BLS certification within 30 days of hire or transfer.Advanced Life Support certification within 6 months of hire or transfer.Diploma from an accredited nursing program. Skills And Attributes Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and infection control.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a high-pressure environment.
