Registered Nurse - Operating Room

About the role

This is a full-time Inpatient RN position responsible for delivering patient care according to established standards, including assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN guides patient teaching, supervises ancillary staff, and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate comprehensive care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care such as treatments, medications, and diagnostic procedures
• Conduct assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families
• Coordinate patient education, discharge planning, and family needs
• Evaluate intervention effectiveness and adjust care plans accordingly
• Collaborate with physicians and team members, delegating tasks based on skills and patient needs
• Participate in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and evidence-based practices
• Promote teamwork, troubleshoot equipment, and support unit decision-making

Qualifications

• Graduate of Specialty Training Program-Nursing
• Experience in OR preferred; scrubbing skills required or trainable
• Ability to work in a clinical environment, respond to on-call demands, and rotate shifts
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
