Registered Nurse - Oncology (5500) Nights

About the role

Mercy Fort Smith’s Med Surg Service Line consists of 8 specialty units providing care for patients undergoing medical and surgical interventions. Nurses are cross-trained across these units to gain a broad understanding of various patient conditions, comorbidities, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients preparing for or recovering from medical and surgical interventions.
• Work in a variety of specialty units, gaining exposure to different patient populations and conditions.
• Build foundational knowledge of patient conditions, comorbidities, and procedures across all units.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and education to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure; meet state board requirements.
• American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certification required or obtainable within 90 days of hire.

Pay

The position offers a Sign-On Bonus of $10,000 for full-time RNs with at least 1 year of experience.

Schedule

Hours vary based on department needs and may include evening, night, and weekend shifts.
