Registered Nurse - NICU - Nights

About the Role

Provides specialized nursing care in a NICU setting, including patient assessment, data collection, and coordinating individualized plans of care to ensure safe, timely, and effective interventions. Communicates clearly with patients, families, and healthcare team members, and tailors education to meet specific learning needs. Participates in quality improvement initiatives and maintains current knowledge of nursing standards, laws, and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and collect health data involving families and providers
• Coordinate patient care plans for safety and appropriateness
• Effectively communicate in person, on the phone, and in writing
• Individualize patient and family education based on assessments
• Participate in quality improvement efforts
• Stay updated on nursing practices, laws, and regulations

Requirements

• Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited nursing program
• Current Illinois nursing license
• CPR certification from the American Heart Association
