Registered Nurse - NICU - Nights

About the Role

Provides professional nursing care in a Level III NICU, ensuring patient safety and well-being in a family-centered, single-room environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions, recognize changes, plan, implement, and evaluate care using critical thinking skills.
• Monitor patient progress, document observations, and delegate tasks appropriately.
• Collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team to meet unit goals.

Requirements

• Associate Degree or higher in Nursing; Bachelor’s Degree required within five years if initially holding an Associate Degree.
• Current Illinois RN licensure and BLS certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within six months of hire.
• NICU experience preferred.

Schedule

• Rotating night shifts with weekend and holiday rotations.
• Occasional floating to other women and children units.
