Department: 649C Family Centered Care – RN Mother Baby | Location: Canton, GA 30115 | Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule
- Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 3×12-hour shifts / 36 hours per week
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Mother Baby / Postpartum nursing experience
- AHA BLS certification required
- NRP certification required
- IV Start experience preferred
- Experience with postpartum couplet care / Mother Baby care
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to postpartum mothers and newborns
- Provide couplet care, caring for mother and newborn together
- Perform maternal and newborn assessments and monitor for changes in condition
- Support breastfeeding, newborn care, and parent education
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered
- Initiate and maintain IV therapy as needed
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team
- Provide safe discharge education and support for new parents
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and follow hospital policies
