The Registered Nurse in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in a specialized intensive care setting. They collaborate with medical teams to assess patient conditions, manage safety risks, and promote effective pain management. Responsibilities

• Assess patient status during admission and throughout shifts, identifying changes and safety concerns.
• Provide compassionate, individualized care aligned with clinical standards and organizational values.
• Promote a patient- and family-centered approach, demonstrating empathy and advocacy.
• Share knowledge with peers, participate in professional activities, and support shared governance.
• Obtain and maintain required certifications such as ACLS and BLS within specified timeframes.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) diploma.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within designated periods.
