About the Role
As a Med Surg Registered Nurse (RN) on the W.E.S.T. Float Team, you will deliver personalized, evidence-based care across the nursing process from assessment to evaluation, build meaningful patient and family connections, and foster a safe, collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized, evidence-based care across the nursing process (assessment to evaluation)
- Build meaningful connections with patients and families
- Foster a safe, collaborative team environment
- Participate in performance improvement, research, and shared governance
- Mentor fellow nurses
- Apply evidence-based practices
- Contribute to patient care decisions
- Proactively plan care to enhance patient experiences and resource efficiency
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Active RN license (single or multi-state)
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum of 2 years recent Med Surg experience
- Experience with computer data entry
- Familiarity with Epic and 3M systems (preferred)
Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic tech tools
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Strong critical thinking and time management
- Commitment to evidence-based practice
