Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Unit

About the Role

Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a Critical Care Step Down Unit for diverse conditions such as congestive heart failure, COPD, diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), and sepsis. Work in a technologically advanced 14-bed unit with a focus on critical care skills in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Utilize skills including EKG interpretation, central line care, and bedside procedures like bronchoscopies.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, delegation, and effective time management.
• Collaborate with nursing assistants, interns, providers, physical therapy (PT), and occupational therapy (OT).

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN licensure in Ohio.
• Certifications in BLS and ACLS (obtained within specified timeframes).
• PRN staff require at least one year of RN experience and all certifications at hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Professional certification recognized by the Magnet designation.
