Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Unit

About the role

Provide high-quality nursing care in a Critical Care Step Down Unit, focusing on patients with conditions such as Congestive Heart Failure, COPD, DKA, and Sepsis.

Responsibilities

• Perform EKG interpretation and maintain central line care
• Manage rescue Bi-PAP, high flow oxygen, trachs, and vents
• Assist with bedside procedures like endoscopies and bronchoscopies
• Apply critical thinking, delegate tasks, and manage time effectively
• Collaborate with Patient Care Nursing Assistants, Nurse Interns, Providers, PT, and OT

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current Ohio RN licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• ACLS certification within six months of hire
• One year of relevant RN experience for PRN roles; required certifications upon hire

Qualifications (Preferred)

• BSN degree
• Professional certification by the Magnet Recognition Program
