Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical, Night Shift

About the role

This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in medical‑surgical care, responsible for delivering patient care using the nursing process while ensuring patient rights, confidentiality, and professional accountability.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care using the nursing process.
• Ensure patient rights, confidentiality, and professional accountability.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided.
• Coordinate care with other departments.
• Maintain high standards aligned with organizational values.

Requirements

• Accredited nursing education (Associate, Diploma, or BSN).
• Valid RN license in Missouri or a compact license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Prior hospital experience preferred.
• Additional certifications or specialty experience considered a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lb.
• Prolonged standing.
• Mobility to perform nursing duties.

Unit Focus

Adult patients with diagnoses such as bowel obstructions, infections, cellulitis, diverticulitis, and pneumonia. The role offers opportunities to develop clinical skills in assessment, care planning, and team collaboration.
