About the role
Registered Nurse specializing in Med Surg and Neuroscience care on the Neuro Science Unit.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients across the lifespan using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
- Maintain compliance with organizational policies and demonstrate professional growth and accountability.
- Coordinate patient care activities and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including Stroke Coordinators, PT/OT, Respiratory Therapy, physicians, case managers, social workers, and support staff.
- Participate in a structured orientation program with experienced preceptors to ensure successful integration into the neuro team.
- Support patients with conditions including stroke, spinal injuries, head injuries, and surgical needs in a fast-paced, 30-bed acute care setting.
Qualifications
- Graduate of a nursing program; new graduates are eligible.
- Current Georgia RN license or NLC/eNLC multistate license.
- BLS certification required.
- Preferred: one year of hospital nursing experience, Bachelor’s degree, and advanced certification in specialty areas.
