About the Unit
The Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit (MSICU) provides post-surgical care for children and young adults following general surgery, transplantation, neurosurgery, craniofacial reconstruction, orthopedic surgery, and trauma. Our MSICU has one of the highest volume pediatric intensive care units in the U.S. and is one of the largest extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) centers.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to patients with life-threatening or potentially life-threatening conditions that are complex, progressive, and rapidly changing medically, surgically, and traumatically for patients ranging in age from newborn to early adulthood.

Requirements
- BSN required.
- 1 year of RN experience required.
- 2 years’ experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
- Pediatric or adult ICU experience preferred; pediatric ICU experience is particularly desirable.
- Massachusetts RN licensure.

Pay
The posted pay range reflects Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this role at the time of posting. Any base pay offer depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and other job-related factors.
Sign-On Bonus
This position is eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus (not eligible for internal candidates or former BCH employees who worked here in the past 2 years).
