Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical - Days

Department: 3 Main, Med Surg
Work Location: UAB St Vincent's Birmingham

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care following organizational policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans, documenting and communicating patient conditions.
• Serve as primary coordinator among disciplines for cohesive patient care.
• Execute physician and nursing orders accurately.
• Assess and coordinate discharge planning with healthcare team members.

Qualifications & Skills

• Licensed or eligible for RN licensure by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS certification within 30 days of hire, accepted from AHA or Red Cross.
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program with at least one year of RN experience.
