Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

About the Role

This role involves providing direct nursing care in a 19-bed Medical/Surgical unit, caring for patients with conditions such as pneumonia, COPD, CHF, and diabetes, as well as performing procedures including EGDs, lithotripsy, PEG tube placement, and cholecystectomies.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Communicate patient condition and coordinate discharge planning with the healthcare team.
• Serve as primary coordinator of multidisciplinary care, ensuring physician and nursing orders are followed.

Requirements

• Current RN license or eligibility in Alabama.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire (accepted from American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• Diploma from an accredited nursing school and professional licensure at the time of hire.

Schedule

Full-time night shifts (7 pm to 7 am).
