Provides comprehensive nursing care in a correctional health setting, ensuring patient needs are met according to provider orders and established standards.

Responsibilities

• Plans, delivers, documents, and evaluates nursing care
• Observes and reports patient conditions
• Supervises assigned nursing staff
• Maintains accurate care documentation
• Upholds organizational mission and standards

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Current RN licensure in Ohio
• Basic Life Support certification
• Knowledge of nursing theory, medical asepsis, and medical equipment
• Strong communication and physical coordination skills

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Correctional health care experience
• Certifications such as CCN or CCHP
