Registered Nurse- Medical ICU Day/ Nights

About the role

Join our Medical Intensive Care Unit, 8 West! This role involves caring for adult and geriatric patients with chronic diseases in a 24-bed unit. The unit has received the Unit Daisy Award and Silver Beacon Award. You will work alongside Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, and Providers.

Shift: 7a-7p or 7p-7a, including rotating weekends and holidays. Bi-weekly hours: 72.00.

All Critical Care units offer enhanced technology to assist with nursing care, including patient lifts, hands-free communication, virtual whiteboards, and continuous telemetry monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Hemodynamic monitoring
• Performing invasive procedures (e.g., IVs, Central Lines)
• Wound care and drain care
• Applying critical thinking skills in high-acuity situations

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation)
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification (or obtained within 90 days of hire)
• Current ACLS certification (or obtained within 6 months of hire)
• PRN roles require 1 year of relevant RN experience and possession of all required certifications upon hire

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN
• Professional Certification recognized by the Magnet Association
