About the Role

Provide comprehensive nursing care to assigned patients, serving as a primary or accountable nurse based on unit needs. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care, educating patients and families, and administering medications safely in accordance with policies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and evaluate patient care with a focus on safety and quality
• Support resource management, including staffing and supplies
• Participate in shared governance, quality improvement, and evidence-based practices
• Mentor new staff, students, and clinical observers
• Engage in ongoing professional development and mandatory training

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred
• Current New York State RN license
• Certifications such as CCRN, ACLS, or PALS are advantageous
