Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Telemetry
Role Overview
This position involves assessing, planning, and delivering nursing care for an assigned group of patients, serving as a primary or accountable nurse to ensure patient safety and quality care. Responsibilities include patient and family education on health promotion, treatment, and disease management, safely administering medications following policies, and supporting resource management such as staffing and supplies. The role requires adherence to nursing standards, regulatory requirements, and active participation in shared governance, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice initiatives. Providing mentorship to new staff and fostering a learning environment are key aspects. Ongoing professional development and mandatory training are expected. Additional duties support safe, effective patient care.

Education & Licensure
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current New York State Registered Nurse License
- Preferred: BSN, clinical experience in acute or ambulatory care, certifications like CCRN, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
Work Environment & Patient Care
- Work in clinical and patient care areas with frequent movement and interruptions
- Exposure to disinfectants and PPE required by infection control policies
- Serves patients of all age groups
