Registered Nurse - Med/Surg, Nights

About the Role

Mercy Hospital Logan County is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital located in Guthrie, Oklahoma, providing care to Observation, Inpatient, and Swing patients. Our unit has a Patient/Nurse ratio of 5:1. Nursing staff work closely with the Therapy department to provide coordinated, excellent care to facilitate the highest level of return to pre-hospitalization lifestyle.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to Med/Surg patients in a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital.
• Collaborate with the Therapy department to deliver coordinated care.
• Perform duties requiring prolonged standing, walking, and physical exertion such as pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform nursing duties.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
• Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure; must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• None required; at least six months of experience as an LPN or RN preferred.

Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – training provided during orientation if not already certified.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
• Other unit-specific certifications as required or acquisition within the department’s required timeframe.

Pay

Sign-on bonus available: $15,000 for new graduates, up to $20,000 for experienced nurses.

Schedule

• Full-Time, 36 hours per week.
• Shift: Nights, 7pm-7am.
• Rotating weekends and holidays.
