Registered Nurse - Med Surg Float Pool

About the role

Registered Nurse in the Med Surg Float Pool, providing patient-centered care across various units, including Ortho Trauma, PCU, Surgical Oncology, Inpatient Rehab, and Medical Telemetry.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process—assessment, care planning, implementation, and reassessment—to deliver safe, effective care tailored to patients' age, psychosocial, cultural, and learning needs.
• Document care and promote interdisciplinary communication.
• Contribute to decision-making to improve patient outcomes and nursing practices.
• Provide comprehensive care and promote communication among the healthcare team.
• Demonstrate basic and unit-specific competencies to ensure quality patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Active RN license in Colorado or multistate license.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
• At least two years of RN experience in an acute setting.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
• Ability to float within the hospital system without travel required.
