Registered Nurse - Med Surg Float

About the role

This position involves leading high-acuity patient care on Med/Surg and Intermediate units, utilizing specialized training in progressive care to support complex patients. The nurse will serve as a central contact for clinical teams, ensuring seamless, coordinated patient recovery plans, monitoring patient safety, and adapting support based on hospital needs.

Responsibilities

• Manage high-acuity patient care, stabilize and support complex cases.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care teams for optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain vigilant patient safety practices and document care accurately.
• Respond to evolving hospital demands with expert nursing support.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing or recognized multi-state license.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire; Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, with Med/Surg and progressive care training preferred.
