Registered Nurse - Med Surg/ED

Role Overview: The registered nurse (RN) is responsible for coordinating comprehensive nursing care, including direct patient care, patient and family education, and care transitions. The RN supports professional nursing practices across various settings, adhering to the Mayo Clinic Nursing Practice Model and ANA standards. They provide leadership through mentoring, participation in quality improvement, and delegation based on skill, patient acuity, and resources. Key Responsibilities: Planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating all phases of patient care. Supporting interdisciplinary collaboration, mentoring team members, and participating in committees or projects. Some roles may require driving a personal vehicle. Qualifications & Skills: Graduate of a nursing program; valid RN license; BLS certification; excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills; computer proficiency; and ability to work flexible hours. Preferred experience includes one year of RN or LPN experience. Additional Requirements: Must meet state licensure requirements; may need additional certifications or licensure depending on the work area. The role is eligible for TN sponsorship with proper certification.
