About the role
Join a close-knit healthcare team as a Med-Surg RN, providing comprehensive nursing care across medical, surgical, pediatric, outpatient, observation, swing bed, and emergency cases.
Responsibilities
- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care for diverse age groups
- Ensuring safety through accurate medication administration, IV therapy, equipment operation, and adherence to protocols
- Educating patients and families with personalized teaching plans and coordinating discharge and referrals
- Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, mentoring new staff, and contributing to unit improvements
Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved RN program; BSN preferred
- Current RN license in Vermont or multi-state
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Preferred certifications: Med/Surg Nursing, ACLS, and PALS (required within 1 year)
