The hospital is accredited by The Joint Commission and holds Advanced Certifications in Primary Heart Attack, Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke, and Hip and Knee Total Joint Replacement. It has been recognized by US News & World Report for outstanding achievements in specialty programs and is a Center of Excellence for Advanced Wound Care and Hyperbaric services. ER at Blue Diamond, an extension of Spring Valley Hospital, is a freestanding emergency department providing 24/7 emergency care with Advanced Certifications in Acute Stroke Ready and Acute Heart Attack Ready.

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
  • Serve as a professional leader and support to the healthcare team, adhering to Patient Centered Care principles.
  • Oversee and guide employees under your supervision.
  • Demonstrate Service Excellence standards at all times.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing; BSN preferred.
  • One year full-time or three years part-time experience in an acute care setting preferred.
  • Current RN license in the State of Nevada.
  • Current BLS Certification.
  • Current PALS Certification (for pediatric patients) or NRP Certification (for Neonatal patients) as required by department.
  • Additional certifications as required by facility, specialty, or department.
  • Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
