About the Role

The Head Nurse oversees patient care, staff management, and daily operations of a nursing unit. They utilize the nursing process to make decisions, collaborating with patients and families to promote health and uphold patient rights with compassion, knowledge, and integrity. They provide clinical leadership to ensure continuity of quality care aligned with hospital policies and goals.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and review diagnostic data relevant to patient conditions.
• Collaborate with leadership and other disciplines to identify improvement opportunities and implement change.
• Guide staff during life-threatening situations and evaluate intervention outcomes.
• Implement innovative processes to enhance patient outcomes.
• Engage in clinical leadership activities such as coaching, mentoring, staffing, and performance evaluations.
• Participate in initiatives to improve healthcare delivery and communicate effectively with team members.
• Support ongoing learning and perform additional assigned duties.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related unit or specialty area.
• RN licensure and BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Computer literacy is essential.
