Job Summary The Head Nurse oversees patient care, staff management, and daily operations within a designated nursing unit. They utilize the nursing process to make critical decisions, partnering with patients and families to promote health, dignity, and autonomy. The role involves providing clinical leadership, ensuring continuity of care, and collaborating with leadership to meet departmental goals. Responsibilities Interpret and review diagnostic data relevant to patient conditions.Collaborate with nursing leadership and other disciplines to identify improvement opportunities.Guide and intervene in life-threatening situations.Evaluate intervention effectiveness and patient outcomes.Implement innovative processes to enhance patient care.Participate in clinical leadership activities such as coaching, mentoring, staffing, and performance evaluations.Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving healthcare delivery.Communicate and collaborate with team members to provide quality patient care.Support ongoing professional development.Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar setting or unit.RN licensure and BLS certification within 14 days of hire; ACLS preferred.Computer literacy required; additional preferred skills are not specified.
