About the role
The Obstetric Surgery Manager oversees the surgical aspects of obstetric care, ensuring patient safety and quality outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Oversee surgical procedures related to obstetrics
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient care
- Develop and implement protocols for post-operative care
- Monitor and maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
- Provide guidance and mentorship to nursing staff
- Participate in departmental meetings and committees
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- At least one year of experience in healthcare
- At least one year of supervisory experience
Qualifications
- Current licensure as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or an active compact license
- BLS certification
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
- National Registry of Perfusion Technicians (NRPT) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred
- Registered Nurse in Obstetrics (RNC-OB) certification preferred
- Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification preferred
