About the Role

Supports and coordinates daily nursing activities in patient care units, providing guidance to clinical staff and managing unit operations. Ensures effective patient care delivery, appropriate staffing, and smooth workflow during shifts. Delegates responsibilities, supervises team performance, and promotes respectful communication with patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and oversees patient care, ensuring compliance with policies and proper staffing.
• Provides coaching and feedback to nursing staff, addressing training needs.
• Maintains operational and administrative documentation.
• Supports patient dignity and rights, facilitating communication with patients and families.
• Allocates resources, delegates responsibilities, and mediates conflicts among staff and departments.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years clinical patient care experience.
• Current RN license and BLS certification; ACLS, PALS, NRP, and STABLE certifications required.
• Experience in acute care settings, with new nurses completing orientation and competency validation.
• Completion of annual competencies.
• Participation in onboarding, precepting, and onboarding validation processes.
